Laura Gutierrez has worked in the restaurant industry for over 12 years. She started off in the front of the house managing a restaurant and ended up finding her niche in marketing and events. Laura has spent the last two years building her event and wine knowledge working at a local boutique winery managing their weddings and events. She assisted in the day-to-day wine business operations helping out in the vineyard and seeing the process of wine making from start to finish. Recently she has completed a Certificate of Achievement in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship and is continuing her education working on a BS in Business Management through SDSU. She enjoys creativity and guest interaction. She assists in leading and managing the sales team while holding them accountable, as well as bringing in new clients and building sales. She is in charge of brand visibility managing their social media & website platforms. She is the liaison between the sales team and the operations team keeping constant communication. Through research and development she is constantly following up with clients and ensuring that their needs are being met. She maintains profitability by ensuring the bid calendar and bid documents/proposals are complete, without error, and submitted on time. In her down time she enjoys spending time with family, hiking, or riding bikes. She is our wine enthusiast, she appreciates the unique characteristics each sip has to offer. Her motivation comes from success and the success of others, she enjoys helping others reach their goals and accomplishments. Angela Solom

Angela “Angie” Solom is the Co-owner and coffee enthusiast behind Perk Up Café. She brings a spark for life and passion for customer service excellence. She has experience in a variety of industries such as restaurant, human resources, office/administration, training, and data analytics, as well as working with various populations including youth/foster youth and adults with disabilities. She also has experience in both public and private sectors. Angie has a Bachelor of Science degree from San Diego State University double-majoring in Psychology and Television, Film, and New Media Studies. Most recently, she completed a Certificate of Achievement in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship. Additionally, she is a wife to a supportive husband and a mother of two boys. She loves camping and being outdoors, traveling to new places, living life to its fullest, and making creations with coffee.
